1972 Corvette
454
Code correct Steel Cities Gray exterior, code correct Black
leather interior. Numbers matching 270hp 454ci engine, 4 speed
manual transmission, posi rear-end. This classic bumper car is
a true survivor, and is also equipped with its original big
block. Although it has probably never been restored, this car
needs little to be a driver and is absolutely loaded with
factory options. The lacquer paint is faded and cracking
all over, and there is evidence of a fiberglass repair in the
driver's door.
Front chrome shows well with minor wear, rears are hazed over
and should be replaced if this car is to be restored. This car
wears Corvette rally wheels with fair trim rings wrapped in
newer radial white letter tires. Carpet is worn-through in
places and shows a good bit of
wear, as do the door panels. Seat covers are also showing wear,
but no obvious tears or splits. Gauges are clear with bright
needles, but the speedometer needle has broken off. Underhood is mostly stock, although the ignition
shielding and A/C compressor are missing. Power steering
and tachometer are not working at this time. Additionally, a
luggage rack was installed on this car at one point, but is
currently removed and will accompany the sale of this vehicle.
This car features air conditioning, power windows, tilt-n-tele,
power steering, power brakes, original AM/FM radio. This
Corvette has a rebuilt salvage title as a result of an insurance
claim for water damage which occurred about ten years ago. There
is no evidence of any damage whatsoever to the frame or
upholstery. The frame has all the characteristics of a Southwest
car. There are no watermarks and the electrical connections
appear to be normal. The previous owner, as a precaution,
rebuilt the transmission and the rear end in the event water may
have entered these components.
