1971 Corvette
Yellow exterior (originally Steel Cities Gray), code correct Black
vinyl interior. NOM 350ci engine, 4 speed manual transmission, posi
rear-end. This car has a ton of eye appeal, and a built 350ci
powerplant to back it up. Accompanying this car will be a folder
containing thousands of dollars worth of receipts for parts that are
on this car. Paint looks great when shined up, and was done in 2006,
as well as most of the rest of the work on this car. Scratches and
chips are minimal on this car. Body is in overall good shape with
above average gaps, but some shows some cracking from a fiberglass
repair near the driver's door lock cylinder. An L88 style hood has
been added, which gives this car a mean stance. Chrome bumpers are
in fair condition, but show a lot of haze and scratches. Exterior
door handles are pitted and should probably be replaced as well.
Wiper door is currently missing its rearward trim. Wheels are
Corvette rallys with fair trim rings that are mostly free from
dings. Older BF Goodrich Radial T/As put the power to the ground
with roughly 50% tread remaining, but are showing some dry-rot on
the tread. A set of coated Hooker Super Competition longtube
headers/sidepipes add to this car's appearance, but are showing some
minor rust from heat, mostly under the hood. Interior is in driver
status condition, but is missing the radio, fiber optics system,
lock knobs, and passenger door panel handle. Carpet is correct loop
style which shows well. Seat covers are older and are beginning to
split in places. Original steering wheel is long gone; a 1976
Corvette style wheel has taken its place. Door panels are in fair
condition with no large splits or cracks. The previous owner spent
most of his money on this car under the hood, and it shows. The
following items are chrome: alternator, Holley air cleaner, fuel
inlet line, master cylinder cap, accessory brackets, water pump,
thermostat housing, breather, ignition coil, and timing cover. A
Holley carb sits atop the Edelbrock Performer EPS intake, and a set
of Summit Racing heads provides optimum flow for the NOM 1970s
casting number block. A set of coated valve covers with the
Chevrolet nameplate on them announce that this car has some class to
go along with its power. Coolant overflow tank, ignition shielding,
and a/c compressor are currently missing. The previous owner claims
that the clutch and pressure plate are also new. Among the more
interesting items contained in the receipts are a Comp Cams 284H-10
hydraulic camshaft, Hooker glasspack mufflers, MSD Blaster ignition
coil, Summit 1.5 roller rockers, MSD distributor, MSD ignition
controller, Holley chrome fuel pump, and TFS chromemoly pushrods.
All of this adds up to some serious power -- this car will really
get up and go! Factory features on this car include tilt-n-tele,
power windows, power brakes, power steering, air conditioning.
